NCSA Educational Fund
The NCSA Education Fund was established in 2009 by NCSA President and Founder Chris Krause, a former full-ride scholarship football player at Vanderbilt University, to assist underprivileged student-athletes in their pursuit of collegiate athletics by defraying the costs of NCSA’s services.
It was born out of a need to assist student-athletes looking to further their recruiting process, but not in possession of the resources capable of enrolling in a conventional recruiting service. Coming from a low-income community, in North Chicago, Chris Krause understood first hand the struggle and frustration families face when confronted with a process that can be confusing and sometimes unfair. As a result, Chris decided to create a non-profit fundraising and community outreach program to assist student-athletes regardless of economic status.
By sponsoring “College Recruiting Simplified” seminars at high schools, camps and combines across the country, as well as enrolling underprivileged student-athletes into NCSA’s one-on-one mentorship programs, NCSA is able to set a path for student-athletes to graduate from an institution of higher learning and enter their chosen professions.NCSA also contributes to the Chicago community with volunteer efforts such as mentoring, coaching and charitable giving.
